Food Porn: Super Bowl of China

Whenever I treat my family out, I have a difficult time choosing the restaurant, since my mom is not fond of trying new dishes. She'd rather eat at restaurants or fast food that are within her comfort zone (Buddy's, Luk Yuen, Chowking, Goldilock's, etc). I think... of all the food porn I've posted, Super Bowl is the only one that genuinely caught her fancy.

hot and sour soup - overpriced for its quality and quantity

Braised tofu with mushroom

Super Bowl fried rice

Spare ribs

Fish fillet with taosi!!! the crowd's favorite
Sauteed mixed veggies

Birthday noodles

Steamed fish with garlic

Lechon macau (as you can see, the serving size wasn't really inviting at all)

Suffice to say, papa, kuya, and I enjoyed the food :) We always do anyway! HAHAHA. By the way, I don't think that this can be considered as authentic Chinese cuisine. It almost felt like a non-self-service fast food since the place was noisy and cramped. Although I have no proof of it, the dishes tasted like it was made to suit the Filipino palate and not the Chinese's. Oh, I don't know.

In another note, I wonder what motivates mama to like the food in Super Bowl, and not the food in other restaurants? If I could figure that out, eating out with her would be so much easier.
